  • Make sure you stay as focused as possible on your current position, and only look for new opportunities in your personal time.  Keep your work and home lives separate and don’t get into the habit of using your current work resources to apply for new roles.
  •  If you are hesitant about telling your current employers then be discreet, and don’t try and lie to get time off for an interview, try to interview early in the morning or late in the evening and if questioned be open and honest.  The best thing is to try and schedule interviews for before or after working hours or simply try and take a day’s holiday in order to avoid inconvenience to your current employers.
