Shine at Night: Challenging Cancer - Signet Resources

News from Signet - 23rd October 2014

Cancer

A few weeks ago I wrote about what an inspiration Signet’s founder, Nicky Pusey, has been in recent months since her Mother was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September 2013.

Following an unexpected seizure over a year ago, Nicky’s mother has faced aggressive radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and in April this year she has been confined to her bed.  However she has continued to fight the ugly disease that is Cancer, and has ignored the prognosis of the time she was given and is still surrounded by her daughters and husband, who count every additional day with her as a luxury.

On the 27th of September, Nicky took to the streets of London and walked an incredible 13.1 miles through the dark with 17,000 others, raising money to help defeat Cancer.

Nicky has trained whilst working and caring for her mum and family, and along with her sister and friends she completed this emotional challenge.

Everyone at Signet remains very proud of our Managing Director.

You can still support the cause.  We all know someone who has been affected by Cancer, most of us have felt the icy stare that it leaves in its wake.  People who take on Cancer, and do their utmost to fight it and raise awareness, like Nicky have, deserve our  complete respect and support.

Nicky has raised an incredible £1980.00 for Cancer Research UK, who are responsible for pioneering research into ways of defeating cancer.

If you want to show your support please visit the fundraising page here.

Thank you.
