A brand new role has been created for a commercially and customer-facing People Manager for a high profile logistics business. This is a senior business partnering role and will suit an individual keen to support the growth and commercial contracts process on a UK-wide basis.

This role will see the People Manager partner with the Logistics Director to provide all people leadership and expertise for the on-boarding of new customers resulting from commercial success and HR project management around commercial contracts. The role is very contract driven, with a great deal of TUPE activity. As the dedicated HR partner for a successful business unit which is continually growing, the People Manager will be involved in new customer negotiations and meetings, looking at such things as indemnities and employment legalities, as well as translating briefs from the commercial team into HR project plans. This role will also see them liaising with the HR shared services function, supporting on learning and development, focusing on employee engagement and retention and ensuring there are clearly defined resourcing solutions. The position will require travel across the UK with a base location in the Midlands.

The successful candidate will have gained extensive, senior generalist HR experience within a customer facing role where they have partnered senior directors, ideally for a logistics/engineering/distribution or construction organisation, for whom success is gained from winning and securing large commercial contracts. Therefore we need a commercially strong and ambitious people partner who enjoys supporting a business, and is comfortable working with new customers of the business. All applicants must have experience of TUPE and employment law with regards to restructures. In addition this role requires a confident presenter, and someone who has worked within a multi-site role.
