We are recruiting for UK wide business that has been established for over 40 years. They employ just over 5,500 people and achieved over £300 million turnover last year and operate in 70 locations across the UK. They are now looking to invest in this new Head of Talent position to ensure that they attract and retain the best talent. As a brand new role you will have a major input in developing and forming the function.
The role will involve establishing a talent, performance/engagement and Learning and Development You will have responsibility for designing and developing the strategy but also delivering this within the business as the role is stand alone initially. You will work closely with the HR Director and other Senior HR peers as well as being part of the overall senior management team
The individual needs to be pragmatic, commercial Talent Manager with an understanding of a low margin organisation and have the resilience to navigate the business. Experience of working within a blue collar environment within a multi site environment would be desirable but certainly the individual needs to have experience of managing change and have strong resilience.
