Our client, a well established developer, investor and operator of Public Sector Infrastructure Assets in the UK and internationally are looking to recruit a new role of Bid Co Ordinator to provide a pro active administrative support to the Bid Management team. Working closely with the Bid Managers and Bid Directors you will play a key role in the delivery of service excellence.

Working for a leading national business, helping to develop the services our client offers to police and fire authorities throughout the UK, you'll be right at the heart of this exciting initiative, providing key support to help win new business. As well as providing a full administrative function within this busy office, your role will include researching potential clients, managing diaries, scheduling meetings and maintaining the central database.

Key responsibilities:

Research and identify new business opportunities and provide support in the active generation of new prospects and maintain up to date information.
To provide a coordination service to the Bid Managers and Directors in the bid process from PQQ to Preferred Bidder status.
To provide support in the management and development of the bid process pipeline, maintain the database and reporting progress.

Maintain up to date information of current developments in the key markets and local authority outsourcing for the benefit of the Business Development team.
Organise and manage meetings, seminars and conferences.
Develop a partnership approach with clients to fully understand their needs as part of approach to bidding and market development.
Produce letters, memos, agendas, presentations, reports and other documents for Bid Managers and act as point of contact for clients, visitors, contractors and other third parties.
Regularly review, develop and maintain an effective means of recording data and co ordinate with internal departments throughout the bidding process including finance, commercial and Business Systems.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality and environment legislation and standards
Skills required:

Strong organisational and research skills are essential, combined with a keen eye for detail and a customer-focused approach. You'll also need to be a confident communicator with an excellent knowledge of MS Office - including Excel and PowerPoint. Project management and commercial awareness is essential and experience of a bid environment or the public sector would be ideal, though is not essential.
