Based central London with UK-wide travel
Our client is a well established developer, investor and operator of Public Sector Infrastructure Assets in the UK and Globally. As a Commercial Bid Manager within the Leading Service division of the business who provide consultancy and direct services from bidding through to project initiation, design and operational services you will play a key part in taking success to another level exploring new high potential PFI opportunities within Police and Fire Services.
The Role:
A new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Bid Manager to take ownership of the bidding process, establish budgets, control expenditure and manage the entire bidding process. A challenging and diverse brief that requires a partnership style of project management and exceptional commercial acumen to build long standing client relationships whilst understanding the context of EU procurement regulations.
Responsibilities:
Taking ownership of the bidding process, you will be responsible for researching, identifying and actively generating new business opportunities. Taking ownership of the bidding process, you'll establish budgets, control expenditure and manage the entire bid programme through to project completion. Key to success in the role will be your ability to develop a clear understanding of the bidding partner relationships in a PFI context. Key tasks to include bid writing, managing bid responses, bid budget management, preparation of documents & reports, client meetings together with interface with bid stakeholders.
Skills Required:
Along with substantial business development experience, you'll bring an extensive understanding of local authority outsourcing and decision making processes. Police and Fire Authority experience is desirable although not essential. Highly motivated and results-driven, you must also have strong bid writing, negotiation and project management skills. The ability to develop a clear understanding of PFI bidding partner relationships is essential, along with a full driving licence and a willingness and flexibility to travel.
