The Role:
The principal remit for this role will be to manage the flow and levels of inventory across the entire global supply chain and in particular, 2 finished goods warehouses. This will allow the company to achieve company inventory metrics whilst ensuring inventory availability supports company on-time shipment targets. You will lead and motivate an established team of several individuals to ensure the successful management of the EMEA SOP forecasting process. You will work with all functions of the business (particularly the sales and product teams) to ensure that they are aware of product forecasts to generate inventory supply schedules. You will produce robust inventory plans and keep a close eye on the commercial and customer service operation as both are key in creating a competitive advantage.

Skills required:
The client is seeking an experienced Inventory/Supply Chain professional to manage their complex and lengthy end to end supply chain from their manufacturing site in Asia through to the end user. The successful candidate will be a commercially astute manager with a strong understanding of planning who is used to operating across a variety of cultures. With a high degree of numeracy and ideally a background in the high tech or FMCG sector, excellent communication and influencing skills are required as this role will be in close contact with all functions of the business including senior members of the global corporate. Other characteristics of the individual include diplomatic, consultative, resilient, assertive and influencing. Regarding computer literacy, my client is seeking an individual with strong excel skills with Oracle, ERP and SAP being beneficial but not essential.

Position: Inventory Planning Manager
Salary: £45 - 50,000 plus car allowance and bonus
